Just found out that Sigler Music has just raised the price of their custom classic pro jazz birtch kit from $469.00 to $619.00. I was thinking of ordering this set as a back up/practice kit. Oh well...

Larryz - the sonor lines are as follows:

1000 series - basswood
2000 series - birch
3000 series maple

all are nine ply. Now the new safari & bop kits say "select hardwoods" on the badges....

Mapex has the Meridian Maple series with a 5 pc. "jazz" configuration. It's a 20" bass drum, 10 & 12" toms and a 14" floor tom. I had the same kit from thier Pro M line and it was a great kit.
