Re: Anybody seen these yet?

I have to agree with this comment.. This is exactly what I was thinking when I saw them. Hell, I paid less than this for my Concept Maple 7 piece. If I really need too, I'll go buy some wood hoops. I...

Re: 8 piece kits for reasonable prices?

Hey Good.. I don't think this fits into your size requirements, but several of the manufacturers offer the 8,10,12,14,16 14snare, 22bass 7 piece option. I know for a fact that PDP has an 18 floor tom...

Re: Poll: Buddy Rich

And without Buddy Rich and others of his time and after, one could argue there would be no Dave Weckl, Thomas Lang or Vinnie Colaiuta. Especially when it's very clear that one generation is...

Re: Buyers Remorse ?

Re: Buyers Remorse ?

I just checked out the MF site. The oak custom is $1900 and it's made in China!! Did anyone see this or am I imagining things? I figured for that much they were made in Japan.

Re: Buyers Remorse ?

As a PDP Concept maple owner, I am very pleased with my purchase and have no regrets at all with it. However, I think it's a no brainer that a Yamaha Oak Custom is far superior and also far more...

Re: Reso head or open bottom???

I see.. well, it's actually in someone's house..lol. Just a practice kit.. It's a Pearl Export with the 2 tom resos missing. Looks like a 12,13,16, but next time I go over the 13 is getting the boot...

Reso head or open bottom???

Hey all, I'm sure this question has already been answered on the forums but for the life of me I cant find a thread about it.

I just started playing with a house set and it's got the 2 mounted...

Re: Stage custom snare tuning piece stuck?

The stuck knob may be caused by a couple things...

1) The strainer knob might be cranked either all the way down or all the up and is perhaps seized up a bit. (maybe due to some corrosion or maybe...

Re: Told to hit harder

Yes, geniuses.. that's exactly how I would describe these 2 gentlemen.. OMG, I have NEVER played a live show (though I am hoping to very soon), but even I know their logic is completely flawed!

Re: 8 years of professional teaching - time to give it away

I play the drums right handed, bat right handed, write left handed, and play guitar left handed.

In a word, I was taught, by my dad how to bat.. he taught me right handed and it just feels...

I think I asked this question a year ago and the answer I got is the same as you're getting. GO FOR IT!! I've actually swapped a couple snare heads from drum to drum. And they sounds great.

Re: Mike Marsh ddrum signature steel snare

Well, I've had a chance to play this monster. I knew bass drums had the effect of making you feel it in your chest, but I didn't know there were snare drums out there with the same effect. I swear,...
