Stick moves horizontally instead of vertically

I noticed after video taping myself that my left handís stick moves side to side a bit and Iíve noticed that it contributes to the sloppiness in my playing.

Difficulty with hitting figures at high tempos

Thanks for the responses. I found that I might have been playing the cymbal too hard and with too much tension. I found that utilizing more rebound and just having a relaxed grip eliminated it. Cheers
