sad but true indeed.
Guitars sure don't have as much space for huge logos as we do, but look at double bass, pianos etc... they have a lot more room than we do, but they don't look like a giant...

I also think endorsment is the most likely reason to cover it up.
But I personnaly hate this huge brand logo thing. When I got my sonor kit, it came with this black reso head sporting a huge sonor...

This is very true, I've been through a few auditions (not that many though) and always kept it simple and I got the "job" (I'm putting job between quotes because it was not pro auditions) almost each...

yeah you're right agostini is very widespread in france. The method is pretty good, a bit old school but you can learn a lot from it.
So I guess if german books also write above the line maybe it's...

oh and by the way the place where I practice is not in paris, it's in the suburbs. It's easier to find such places there.

Not any that I know of but most rehearsal studios offer either drum booths or special price for rehearsal studios when a drummer comes on his own (I don't know if what I just said was very clear :D )...

finding a place to set up your own kit in paris really is a pain. The easiest way is to rent a rehearsal booth by the hour with a kit included. otherwise you can find few places you can rent where...
