Exactly.

I think "Anxious" and "Excited" are the same sensation, except that one is negative and the other positive. If I start to feel anxious, I just tell myself that I'm actually excited...

The phasing sound you hear is the side effect of the music being converted to MP3 with a really crappy bitrate - I'll bet that if you heard the CD version of it there would be no phasing.

An excellent alternative to the expensive Auralex foam is rigid fibreglass slabs, also known as "mineral wool" or "rockwool" or "corning insulation 705"
It has excellent sound absorbing properties...
