Thanks fellas it's worked all of "one time" n=1. Hopefully others will try and report back. I used an old 7a stick (whittled on it) and some rubber cymbal stand protectors-one side is smaller...

It is a pain in the arse. After seeing the Rogers snare mechanism I was wondering if you could add a bracket to offset snare cord so alter than angle so it more under the strainer? Make snare wires...

You made a video! Wow Bo sounds great has a nice tuning range-as it goes up it in pitch it stays nice and crisp. It doesn't top out and sound choked too quickly like lesser snares will-like no tuning...

I like that video too. Watched it a bunch. I like John Riley's where he "sort of" throws and catches (with fingers) nice too. Watching Art Blakey on Moanin' looks like does that sort of thing....
