If your kick drum reso head is not ported, port it. If you don't want to do that, learn to let the beater bounce off the head. Those are really your two best options.

Right now I have a Gretsch Renown in Slate Silver Sparkle. I want to get the 22"x 20" kick cut down to a 22x14. Also I would like a 24" K Light Ride, a 22" K Light Ride, and a nice 20" K to crash...

Actually the Emperor X is two 10 mil plies plus a 5 mil black dot, which is 25 plys total, as opposed to a regular Emperor which is two 7 mil plies. I think Cannon Percussion sells black dots that...

The thing is though, is that people can tune as well as they can tune, which means his tuning ability will be the same on whatever kit he has. Secondly, good heads are good heads, and both Pro-M's...

i would say the powershifter, because it feels great and its pretty much infinitely adjustable. you also get a 4 way beater, so you can get punch and depth for rock and you can just switch the beater...
