Richie Hayward Tribute

Late last night I was watching videos of Richie Hayward and Little Feat. One of the videos that I came upon was a tribute drum solo based on his Time Loves a Hero groove (one of my favorites!) Marco...

Re: Calling all Round Badgers !

Have you checked the prices at Maxwell's Vintage Drums? You can get an idea of the range of Round Badge prices from his website ($1500 - $6000).

Re: Gretsch options - Gretsch experts - little help?

Re: Drummers Who Write Songs

Dafnis Prieto is a fantastic drummer and composer. He is a jazz musician so his music may not appeal to some on this forum (in a similar way that metal music is not universally heralded.)

From...

Re: A "Midlife Crisis" With Drumming

Wait 20+ years and then tell me about a midlife crisis!

Focus on college not drumming (you implied you are not in a music program). Finish college then become serious again about drumming. Take...

Re: Musikmesse 2013 pics

Re: Beware of Mr. Baker Available on DVD

For all his bad karma over the years, more people will probably pirate the film rather than pay to purchase or see it.

Re: Best purchases you've made for drums.

Protection Racket drum cases and a Reunion Blues cymbal case are the best purchases I made for drums.

The best drums I purchased are my Gretsch USA Customs, Drumskull congas, djembes and...

Re: Gretsch Cat Maple disappointment

+1

I wanted to avoid the upgrade cycle of expense and disappointment and purchased USA Customs. Of course, I am happy with these drums. Unfortunately, they are expensive and out of reach for many....

Re: What is classified as professional gear?

Strictly speaking, there is no such thing as professional drum gear since drumming is not a profession.

By definition, a profession has a governance body with the ability to license its members...

Re: To buy a new snare or to wait??

I recently saw a very good Supra on another site for $265. Acros and Supras will hold their value and your attention for the long term.
