My sister got FREE tickets 2 for nights and so I got to see him 2 nights in a row. The show was a bit different the second night. It was great. Jason's chops are very good.

I practice paradiddles, double paradiddles, double strokes and other complex things to prepare for this. This makes my feet "smarter". It is not just a nervous twitch as some have said.

Absolutely insane exchange rate now. Not just the rate itself but RATE of change. Last week the US dollar jumped another 4% above the Canadian dollar. What does this mean? I will be buying less...

I'm sure I will experiment with more tunings. I tried to get the lowest resonating pitch possible, which is what I like best. To do that , I have to begin to bring up the pitch up until the drum...

I think the close mics were a bit too close to the rims. That will tend to pick up more ring and can also overload the mic. More distant mics pic up the full body of the drums but too much room...

Sounds great, in part because with this system we can tighten these way down. Only 4 1/2" deep.

They will sound GREAT....but I'm going to only build one right now. I'm going to store the other shells for another day....and I may re-work them a bit.

Also recording audio with camcorder is not the best as camcorder has AGC which turns volume down as soon as I strike the drum.....but we can all hear those crickets !! Yes the snare wires ("spring"...
