why not just buy a used one off ebay? I started buying mine in pieces on ebay and got killer deals then my salesperson at guitar center told me they were having a huge sale and i could combine...

the harlequins are really cool but I wonder why they didn't do a stain on the dark colors. It looks like a paint. Could it be that there is a problem with taping off 2 different stains?

I would look at the Yammies or ddrums like the previous poster said.
Don't know if the Gretschs will cut enough for metal, they tend to be warmer(don't know about the blackhawk though).

Sorry.

Cherry Burst. I had a choice of 2 identical sets.
1 had never been played but had a scratch on the bass drum and the other had been used for the 2009 GC DrumOff and also had pinstripes...

ala Kenny Jones when he played for "The Who". It wasn't until after he left "The Who" that he started playing double...
