It's about balance. If you work on playing music then you will discover what techniques you need to work on in order to play the music you want to play. At the end of the day its really about songs...

Yep that's what it means. They can somewhat up there in tempo but obviously start slow and work them up to tempo.

I keep the spring on my pedals as loose as possible. Tight tension just doesn't work for me. Bozzio and Mangini both play with very loose spring tension.
