I think a drummer can be slowed down with heavy weights
heavy weight training can cause muscle boundness and stiffness
A drummer should want speed and flexability

If the fingers guide a 1 lb stick why wouldn't that work to develop more speed with a regular stick?
What about the weights they have for drumsticks for wrist and finger deveopment?

I like writing out my own notes for sight reading
It's cheaper and I can write out endless patterns and sight read them right on the spot
Sometimes I sight read the notes to tempos on CDs I listen...

I saw those Art Verdi videos using his left hand
His hand looks very relaxed but I'm confused what fingers really moves the stick
Sometimes it looks like the middle finger and sometimes it looks...
