I think the cut outs in the EFX series might prove annoying while playing them as hihats, don't you think? And usually you need something thicker as a bottom so it projects better...

just try to find a almost new superstar on eBay and get some nice cymbals with it, and be really really picky on the cymbals cause you can't tune them! They must sound awesome to your ear from the...

I've heard quite some Tama Superstars and they are awesome. A really good kit and I love the TAMA roadpro hardware that comes with it. It is just indestructible! (And heavy...)

Yeah I saw one of the Pearl guys 'entering' the huge drumkit. He first removed a floortom on the right side of the kit (if anyone knows which side that is ;) and then he crawled to the center haha....
