Whoah they are shallow, osrry dude, I've never had the honour of playing a dw, but good luck anyhow. I prefer the second one though, purley because in the first one the lugs on the rack top look...

Thanks, I'll get that ordered. I love to listen to Jazz its just so cool. I have done a reasonable amount on jazz, but no way near enough, just the basics.

Oh yeah and its great I love it, intially I planned to use it as a rock snare, eg Free, Led Zep, etc. However I have found it to be suprisingly versitiile. I highly recommend the whole BP line.

Im not one for that sort of thing it's prob no better than a standard. You pay for the lugs, and finish. Although my current kit is'nt natural finish, my next kit defo will be.

I own the BP 14" by 5.5" steel snare and I love it. When I was buying it I tried the maple one in question, and was impressed with its sound, however I prefered the steel more for my primary snare. ...
