Just like I posted previously...tune the both sides real tight,DO NOT take the snare off,and practice the technique of hitting the head and the rims at the same time (find a sweet spot) and drill...

I use the cheapest batter there is, and the bottoms I use the regular.....tune them really tight both sides and you get a high pitch,and really good stick response bcuz reggae has a lot of fills and...

Mr Lamb, we need to see a video of you and what you have to offer in terms of how to play reggae.....there are loads of reggae drummers but loads of them havent got the feel for the music....plz...

there was a band in Jamaica called 'CHALICE'.....drummer's name is Desmond Jones,he wrote a book on reggae drumming.....go to youtube.com....search "chalice sunsplash",....one of the greatest...

I must say you are totally wrong about not listening to Bob Marley,playing reggae one has to start from the roots...like a plant,if not ,you will grow away from the real music and its style...UB40...
