Don't forget used kits, higher quality for a lower price, always great. But of the kits you listed, the vision kit would be my choice, great hardware and build quality

combining two (or more) woods is fairly common with stave builders and it yields perfectly fine snares. as for white oak and purple heart, I'm not personally a fan of white oak, but thats all...

the catalina or a pearl vision would work for you, but i'll second the "wait till you can afford something better" argument. If you can wait till you've got say $1000 then your options are a lot more...
