Try keeping the 1/4 note on the hat. Do with a metronome or without and sing the melodies while playing "stuff" . Do easy stuff. Then a little harder until you get lost. Then back off a tad and do...

I like to tune them on a piece a carpet. Spins/turns nicely and mutes the bottom head as well.

Agreed with last comment. You can see on the video at 0:50 thst the pedal is dropping but cymbals are not tightening (pedal continues to drop). Then it makes that clunking sound when coming back up....

I bend the lever on the p85 do the lever touches the adjusting wheel pretty good and stops it from losening up :)

I bet you could "tighten those rivets done " by putting a nut and bolt thru them with washer on each side and squishing it together slightly , thus increasing the friction.

You can only bring the toms as far down as the kick allows and it looks like you did as much as possible.

I doubt your great jazz drummer could improvise with all 4 limbs. Most likely was doing an ostinato with the feet and improvise on top.

I am at the stage where I try to do a whole measure pattern...

I also have. The ride that mount to the bd hoop with the dw attachment. Saves 1 stand. Have a crash that mounts to the most rearward leg of the floor tom saves another stand.

Just measure where yamHa drills the holes in the shells for the yess system , drill at the same spot and buy the yess assemblies and voila !!!!
