Re: Auditions for New Reality TV Show, "America's Next Top Drummer"

Lucky for Gerald that the artists for which he plays don't agree with you.
Perhaps you could contact Mary J. Blige and inform her that she doesn't know how to select a drummer for her music. Hey,...

Re: Registered Drummer

It would not be cool to be a "registered drummer"... at all. Why should someone else decide if your artistic choices are valid?
As far as getting work, your playing skill (or lack thereof) will be...

Re: MM in Jazz Performance

Tom, your playing sounds really great! I have no advice about degrees, but since you sound as good as you do I am sure it will all go well! Best of luck with it all!

Re: Off to see Weckl with Oz Noi and Darryl Jones!

OK, here's a short review from Oz Noi's gig in Athens last night:

Inspirational!

The club was smallish and full, and we were sitting in the middle close to the stage.
The gig was really really...

Re: Books you love...

One book that has not been mentioned yet and that I really really enjoyed working through was Conversations in Clave by El Negro. Very challenging and musical.

Re: Stripping down my kit to bass, snare and hats.

Re: So who here thinks they are a good drummer?
