Painting Drum Wrap?

So I got the idea to paint my drum wrap. I'm nervous of painting the actual shells, due to the fear of messing up something badly. If this is possible without affecting the tone of the drum, what...

Re: Bass drum size help?

I see cases on eBay a lot. But I already use a plastic beater for my current 22x16 bass, I just don't like how the sound isn't deep enough. But thank you for your input, it helps a lot.

Re: 2nd floor tom size?

I guess I forgot to mention that the 18" floor tom I'm looking at purchasing from eBay is a Pearl EX series. I've played an EX set before, but I don't know how the 18" floor tom would sound in...

You are quite welcome sir:D I find the ghetto-ness to be the best part, and it looks decent (from a distance):P

Re: Duck-taping drum wrap?

Is duct tape really that dampening? Whenever I attempt to muffle my drums with duck tape, it does absolutely nothing. Electrical tape, however, is a different story. But since I have a black wrap,...

Duck-taping drum wrap?

So I got a stupid, childish idea that I thought might look decent, at the very least. I thought, "Hey, I'm too cheap to buy striped wrap. HEY. WHAT IF I DONE DUCK TAPED STRIPES ON MY EXISTING...
