I bought the drums for 700 off my drum teacher, about 4/5 years ago. I don't know much about the history of the 3005 series and how easily available they were but after some googling I can't find...

I had a Chad Smith sig snare for atleat 4 years, sold it couple of months ago, but as much as I loved it I often found that I got easily bored with the sound and could only get one sound out of it...

1190, which is rather pricey but from what I've read DrumCraft make excellent drums!

100% true, from the bands I listen to Flea and Chad from RHCP are the best of example of the connectivity between the bass and drums.
