Ludwig Keystone Bracket (P7202AP) retrofit

Hi folks,

Did some searching but I can't seem to find a clear answer... Can anyone tell me if the newer keystone tom brackets would fit the same hole spacing as a classic bracket? Reason I ask...

Looking for a Yamaha 8000 or 9000 series 18" floor tom or 18" bass drum. Early 80's. Thicker split lugs. Prefer white, but any color will do.

I've met Chester. His kit was an Ayotte two-up, two-down at the clinic he played. Nothing outrageous. But he was an awesome guy.

Yamaha PHX (not sure what finish) in every size. Also my grandfather's white marine pearl ludwigs that got destroyed in a flood years ago, the drums that made me want to play drums.

I actually have a back patio. Sprayed today, looked good at first but dried a little too thick looking (at least it's even). Doesn't really look like the correct finish. I think the cymbal stuff...

If I can help it, I'd like to do something more permanent. So i assume that's a laquer. Anyone else have experience actually doing this? What brand for a clear coat would you recommend?

to elaborate - the entire drum has now gotten the Flitz treatment by hand, alternating with a towel with flitz and a dry towel rubbing off the excess. It has taken hours and isn't absolutely perfect...

Flitz seems to work after a lot of rubbing in certain areas, but also seems to discolor the drum...
