Loose tension rods

This going to sound really stupid, but the tension rods on my Ludwig Centennial kit are really loose, even after I tighten them with my drum key. The resonant ones just seem to fall out all the time....

Eric, nice choice. Honestly, a lot of drums at the same price range are generally the same to me. For instance, a 6-ply maple from Ludwig will sound like a 6-ply maple from Gretsch at the same 1200$...

I would agree with Pearl. I play on Ludwig, but I'm not into brand loyalty except for somethings. However, the drum set that I started on, don't laugh at me, but it was a Westbury Percussion kit....
