Re: Wilcoxins 150...

I own the revised 2009 edition, and I have noticed some of the same thing.
For example: Solo No.19, second phrase, shows 9 stroke rolls when I count them as 7 strokes. As well as solo No.21 same...

Let the manufacturer choose them?

First off my apologies if this belongs in the gear section please move it if necessary.

I've had two snare drums custom built by different builders (to great effect) in the past few years. They...

Re: Pete Cater on Big Band drumming

I'm not certain if the wood boards under his snare stand are to level out a lumpy carpet or if it's there are to aid in sound projection in some way. I remember reading years ago that Buddy Rich had...

Re: Rush Signed Memorabilia to be Auctioned on eBay for Charity as part of R40 Live Anniversary Tour

While charity can be a great thing, I can't help but wonder if the draw to the prize would have been less attractive if John Good hadn't drilled the need to know the exclusivity of drum shell...

Re: Sonor Designer Maple Light Snare- 14 x 6.5

Great shell and hoops on that model, the strainer and lugger rubber are so-so. That rubber will deteriorate soon, it's been an issue for some owners.
If it doesn't become a problem then no problem....

Re: LUDWIG 5.5" SUPRPAPHONIC...

I like the 5.75" deep idea. I had a Sonor D505 ferromanganese (That I wish I never sold) and it had a nice versatility due to it's size.
