Re: The Verdict on my Gretsch Shellpack

Yo, thanks for answering. I still don't really understand though, if you know you're not gonna have all the hardware etc together for a while why not just send the shells back? You shouldn't be...

Re: The Verdict on my Gretsch Shellpack

What's that you say?! No hardware or cymbals? So what's the problem with sending the hoops off, surely if you can't play the drums they're pretty much ornamental and so the hoops are not really doing...

Re: THE YAMAHA DRUMS THREAD

I actually really want a Yamaha snare or two... I'd really like one of the Steve Gadd models and I'd like to try the Akira Jimbo snare. I don't know any Yamaha dealers locally and I doubt anyone in...

If it's of any help I own a 2007 Recording Custom kit and I wouldn't change it for the world. It's awesome.

Re: THE YAMAHA DRUMS THREAD

Cheers! I just had a quick look on ebay for the paul leim sig snare and found one in germany but it's 500 euros and 14" so completely wrong for me... way too expensive and too big : (

Re: THE YAMAHA DRUMS THREAD

I'm a massive fan of Yamaha drums and drum gear. Some of you may have seen my Recording Customs in a thread in the Your Gear section. Anyway, here's my quandry... I'm after some 13" aluminium diecast...

Re: custom drums in Europe?

I can't believe no one has mentioned FVF from the UK.

Francis is an absolute legend. Back in about February time I ordered a custom aluminium snare. He's finally confirmed that it's finished and...

Re: Building drums

I don't understand the question...

There seems to be this ethos that regardless of how intelligent you are in the UK you can find the right path and get a career etc. It seems to be fairly common...

Re: good semi-pro kit. any suggestions?

No disrespect to John Bonham but he's been dead for what 25, 30 years (forgive me for not knowing his life and times well enough to know when he died), but just because he drove an American car...

Re: Set Me Up!!! -

Have a look at the Yamaha Oak Customs - they're supposed to be good and loud and I would guess within your budget for a shell pack. I also hear that Mapex Saturns and Orions are good, but I've never...
