Re: Guitar Center opening 6 stores in 2019

I was wondering the same thing. It doesn't seem very long ago that the drum forums, and I suppose other forums also, were bashing them and saying how they were going under. I live near the biggest...

Re: Post-Heart Attack Defibrillator & Drumming

Wow! Glad you're ok now. I don't have any experience in this area, yet anyway. Have you asked your DR. about drumming? I'm pretty sure there are drummers out there playing in situations like yours,...

Re: What's a good music player to run though mixing board

I use my phone also. It still has an 1/8 inch headphone jack. Also my laptop has a headphone jack. I plug them into my stereo in my practice room, or actually wear headphones. There are still MP-3...

Re: Bad knee on the high-hat side

It's osteo-arthritis caused by the surgery that corrected a torn meniscus. Apparently there's not much that can be done without side effects that might be worse in the long run. Just have to keep...

Re: Ludwig Club dates soon

Re: Yamaha Power Tour Customs - Pricing??

You're right about the quality of these drums. I think everybody that's ever owned a set agrees that they're every bit as good as a recording customs. They're kind of like yamaha's best kept secret...

I have a torn meniscus possibly 15 years ago something like that. And my hi hat playing bothers my knee a lot. I think it's from holding them down rather than actually playing them. when I get off...

Re: Ludwig Club dates soon

I'll think about that Atlas rail idea. I've been listening to them online, paying special attention to the sound of them using the room mics, or recorders like the Zoom. I feel that may give me the...

Re: Mounting toms on bass drum vs virgin bass drum

I prefer them to be on top of the kick. It's just always been that way. I play a four piece or five piece. I don't mind the Tom's hanging from cymbal stands but I'm using the DW 6000 lightweight...
