Re: How to make success on YouTube as a musician

You'd have to defines things a little bit. There are many different areas.

Re: Drum fads: Past, present...and future?

What seems to be gone, except for a couple of tribute bands, are the insane 50 tom 10 BD kits.

Small kits and getting creative with small pieces of persussion has always been there, sort of a NY...

Feet not only seem to naturally take longer to develop than our hands, but they usually don't get the same attention.

There really is no difference and there are ways of using the foot that...

Re: Left/Right foot independence

Quite often I can easy make the case that the left foot hasn't had nearly the same general work and conditioning as the other limbs.

When I start out a student of the left foot, which I do only...

Re: Tru tune

If I did this all day on an assembly line, sure. For my use, just needing to find a place in the house to store even more crap I don't need, not really.

Re: Pete Cater on Big Band drumming

Several drummers have commented that they prefer the drum sound directly on wood. As far as I know Simon Phillips brings his own base for the whole kit.

It's pretty much the same for other...

Re: Jazz Bass Drum Microphone??

If you just want a little more volume, pretty much anything will work. To keep the character you'd want to get something goos, but for that bass drum any good mic for tom use would probably work just...

Re: Traditional grip- how do I control the double?

I feel the index or thumb thing is very subjective. Sometimes I use one, sometimes the other, sometimes both, sometimes the middle finger(for fast singles anyway).....

I don't know too many other...
