I had two of those RC's and they never seemed lightweight.

It's the Performer.. so could be the early philippine mahogany.. . or the later birch one, or the more recent B/B.

The Pro's were made in Germany. .. although they had shells from KHS/Mapex.. (still really nice drums) this is the info from SONORMUSEUM...

Yeah...... good points.. The early models were coming from the Pearl plant in Taiwan from what I remember. IMO.. I have always thought the Taiwan operations were top shelf quality. .. ...

Those lugs are pretty cool on the Concepts.... some people don't like them, but I always thought they look good.. and they did'nt cheap-out on the suspension mounts..

I've never seen any other Sonor drum with this sort of issue........ but maybe the company providing the rubber parts is more to blame ?? Sonor does not produce the rubber material parts. ...
