To replace your kit in case of complete loss I'd say that should cover it. Don't forget to add up your cymbals and hardware along with it. It's shocking how fast it all adds up when you think about...

Restoring a vintage a drum?

This guy can take a sad and sorry looking 70 year old snare drum and make it look almost newly bought.
If I ever come across a derelict drum I might just send it to him to do the refurb. job...

He piqued my interest about his buying a recent production LM402 and "replacing it with lighter 1.6mm hoops".
I may go find a batter and swap it out to see how it opens the drum up.

They called to me, I bought them, I learned to play them, I worked professionally for some years. They are just a private/ part-time passion now but unfortunately not my profession.
