My PDP kit was glued all the way around. It was well secured, but it didn't need heat or chemical to get them off. Pull at a 90 deg and go slow. Watch the grain and if it starts peeling then use...

I unwrapped my PDP kit and found the 14" Tom has some areas with a stained finish, and they are fairly low. Made me glad I am rewrapping mine!
