I accidently did this sequence in reverse. When it was time to upgrade,, I got the kit first, snare and last the cymbals. I wish I could of did the cymbals first. You live and you learn

Always played but never owned. Stuff back in the day was to expensive, still is but the main difference now is a have a full time job and can afford them now

I definitely wanna get a metal snare in the 6x14 size. Ive always felt good playing tama snares....

Sell all the stuff I dont need/use and put money aside every week. Also, im single, no kids, only payments I have are my phone bill and rent (I rent out a studio in my parents basement.)

Natural finish and the numbers are the sizes but I think he meant 22 instead of 18 as in 18x22 bass drum

People always say they will pay for stuff when it breaks....but when stuff actually breaks, some how everyone is always broke. New cymbals arent cheap!

Sounds to me like you have a budget of $1400ish?

If I were you, I would get an intermediate kit for 500-600 and spend the rest on cymbals and hardware. Those tama silverstar kits are good kit. So...
