Re: tuning nightmare...

Also two other things to consider are room acoustics and ear protection. If you are playing in a concrete cave...(i.e. garage) the drums are not going to sound good to you. You may have to treat...

Re: Teeth - drum kits in your head

Yup all of that. Like construct said its more of a jaw movement..not chomping up or down or grinding...its more the flexing of your jaw to enable different areas of teeth to...well to play? I do a...

Re: I BADLY need help revising a drum part

I like what your doing, the only thing I would do different was instead of playing the HH in the verses, I would ride the floor tom with a snare back beat (same thing your doing, just move your right...

Re: How to "count" this 12/8 bar...

Hmmm...makes sense to me to count it 1,2,3,4...2,2,3....3,2,3,4....4,2,3....back to 1....that way your bass is on 1 and 3 and the back beat is on 2 and 4....

Re: Gretsch Catalina...ASH or the new BIRCH? Help me decide...

I have the old style Cat Birches and they are awesome...Keep in mind though the new Birches have 30 deg bearing edges so that may warm up the tone, and take away some punch...(I really dig the 30 deg...
