The sales guy at my drum shop in the 70's told me to find what I want and assume 60% of list price.
I still go by that same standard.
You should be able to buy a $1000 list bass drum for $600.

Agreed there are a few signals that tell us those are not from 1981........or there are signs of some sort of retrofit.
Regardless, the sizes, silver interiors and the hoops would indicate USA...

All others were optional.

Just Rebuilt the Throw - Vintage Gretsch
This is my 1954 vintage Gretsch USA WMP snare............the throw/strainer was shot and I just rebuilt the thing with new lube and now it works well.............new heads here too.

Looks like you have what was called a single-bass "octo-plus".............eight concert toms.
