Re: Drumming and dogs

Ya'll are lucky! My boxer/greyhound mix doesn't mind it, but my husky does one of two things.

Re: Please help me choose a new snare!

I wouldnt say the Chad Smith snare is garbage, I would just say it's a basic steel snare drum. Good volume and extremely sensitive. It has it's place. But main gigging, practice or go-to probably...

Re: Pain in the lower back

Best post I've seen in quite awhile. You have my sympathies for your pain, but your experience is beneficial to others. I for one am guilty of the "curling" and quite honestly, too much torso...

Re: the role of bad to make good in music

My guess would be none. You're talking about two very different, yet very similar events. Neither are wars. They are "conflicts". Vietnam presented a large social movement due to the draft and a high...

Re: small vehicles that can transport drums

Yet another vote for the Fit. More cargo space than a Ford Explorer. Smacks other compacts in the face with a fish.

Re: Is this an Acro?

Again, not a counterfeit issue. Just a matter of people listing them as "snare drums" and not knowing what they are when asked.

Re: Is this an Acro?

I can see how you thought that. I meant to say the sellers didn't know, in any capacity, what they had. Acro, rocker, chrome...Nothing.

Re: Is this an Acro?

Thanks gang. It's going for $100. Making the move on Tuesday.

Is there anything I should know when I go see it that will tell me 100% if it is an Acro or not?

Is this an Acro?

I've been searching for an acrolite on CL (see last nights wildly popular "is this a Supra?") but am finding several where people are unsure of if the drum they own is an Acrolite or not. This one...

Re: Which Acrolite to keep?

Question. Is that practice pad exclusive to the acrolite? I'm looking at one now on Craigslist and they don't know if it is an acrolite or not.

Re: Poll: What is your genre and bass drum size?

Rock/acoustic stuff

18"

As a beginner basement banger, the 18" works perfectly for me.
