I can relate to what Andy has said. There's one particular (BTW original) song that is in 120 bpm. This helps me to estimate other tempos but it's only a rough guideline. Another way is playing fast...

I did this a couple times, esp. when practicing double pedal. It was cool and beneficial for proper posture and also to find good balance on the 'throne' but I noticed that my core muscles got tired...

I have the same story as almost always... Started the Paradiddle-diddle workout yesterday but was pretty tired so I stopped half way. Continued today, got it up to 150 bpm right...
