I have a maple Magstar 18x20 and I use a Gibraltar lift and this drum has great low end and punch.

Well the 10" tom arrived today. Great condition. Tried going with the two up and just not for me anymore. So I will just go between the 12 & 10 depending upon the gig.

I use them in all my bass drums. They are adjustable, they stay put and there are velcro stirips on both sides so you could add a second pillow if you wanted more muffling or to muffle the front...
