Re: Yamaha Stage Custom Bebop Riser
This is part of its attraction, the fact that the money is distributed among three drums not four, which suggests a better build quality (although this may not hold true). Yamaha hardware is as good...

Re: Yamaha Stage Custom Bebop Riser
I've heard a few problems with this kit though. Apparently the build quality is inferior to the other two kits, the tom mount is poor and I can't say any of the finishes does it for me. Also, the kit...

Yamaha Stage Custom Bebop Riser
So I am currently choosing between the Tama Silverstar Jazz and the Yamaha Custom Bebop. I like the Tama, but I hear that the riser is too far away from the bass hoop. Does anybody know whether the...

Re: Oh My God Chaffee's Patterns!
I get this all the time. I start working on something and then feel like I should be doing something else. Then there's all the books where people say "you could spend your life working on this once...

Re: Left Hand Single Strokes
I use the buddy rich technique. JoJo Mayer talks about it on his DVD. The first stroke is played by rotating the wrist as normal, but opening the hand out a bit so that the first two fingers travel...

Re: Review: DW Go Anywhere Practice Kit
I really don't like mesh heads myself. They're bouncy as hell and you don't get the crisp note of a practice pad which allows you to nail timing. Just my opinion

Re: Review: DW Go Anywhere Practice Kit
I have the HQ 6" Real Feel. It's a really nice pad, but it's not that much better than the DW pads, just a little quieter. I can't speak for the Gibralter bass pad but again I would be surprised if...

Re: Your book collection
I can only get anything out of a DVD if it has an accompanying pdf or book. Weird, I know
That's crazy but very cool.

Your book collection
I have a bit of a thing for drum books even though I still don't have that many. I thought I'd see what other people have. In your list embolden your favourite 2 or 3, and include a couple you don't...

Re: Review: DW Go Anywhere Practice Kit
Yeah I know. I've played every kind of practice pad or e kit and I swear the bass drum has never been successfully emulated. Probably a full size 20" mesh head loosely fitted would be ok. Don't know...

Review: DW Go Anywhere Practice Kit
Hi guys, just got the DW Go Anywhere practice kit, so I thought I'd post a little review. I know people have reviewed it before, but there are details that I couldn't find when I was looking into the...

Re: NEW Odery Fluence Jazz set
Has anyone else played these? How does the kit compare with the Tama Silverstar and the Catalina Jazz? They are about the same price at the moment
