Re: Buddy Rich Playing Matched Grip!

I keep reading it......yet to actually see it with any consistency though. The overwhelming majority of clips I've seen of Weckl in the last couple of years or so still show him playing trad. grip....

Re: Creating A Logo

This guy would agree: http://www.27bslash6.com/p2p2.html

Sorry, I just can't hear the word "logo" anymore and not think of this.

Warning: colourful language alert for the Quakers in our midst.

Re: Dave Lombardo: Metal's Greatest Drummer?

Philm.

I keep hearing rumours of Grip Inc. reforming with a new lead singer too, but to date, rumuors seem to be as far as it goes.

Re: Any Rogers experts here care to take a look at this ad?

PM forum member JohnPloughman.

He's a marvel. A walking Rogers encyclopedia. If it's about Rogers and John doesn't know it, then it ain't worth knowing.

Re: Tips on replacing Renown GTS

I'm wondering if it's the same thing at all, Grunt? I believe the older style 2 lug GTS mounts with the rubber stop were a little different. From memory they looked just like the 4 lug band with one...

Re: Buddy Rich Playing Matched Grip!

I propose the development of the rectal grip.

Given the ability of a few who seem to speak so well through it whenever this topic comes up, I think their ability to play drums with it would be...

Re: Jazz Drumming, and its benefits for rock

People are free to spout whatever idiotic and illconceived viewpoint they want. But why should we have to ignore it? Why should ignorance or stupidity go unchallenged? If someone is not even prepared...

Re: for sale - east coast

I wouldn't. Given your current understanding of used pricing models, you'd be in the poor house inside a week.

Re: Jazz Drumming, and its benefits for rock

No mate, it appears they only ever exclude YOU from their clique. And after a couple of years following your posts, it's blatantly obvious as to why.

Try removing head from anus for a while. I...

Re: Jazz Drumming, and its benefits for rock

I think all non-rock drumming can ultimately prove to be beneficial to rock drumming. The great pioneering rock drummers were so innovative because they hadn't spent a lifetime listening to nothing...

Re: Dave Lombardo: Metal's Greatest Drummer?

A true pioneer of the genre. There's little doubt that the guys today wouldn't do half of what they can do if it weren't for guys like Dave who set the bar to begin with.

But as is being...

Re: Poll: Buddy Rich

Hold your horses, I wasn't dismissing the list you presented at all. It was actually seeing a guy like Thomas Lang on your list that prompted my line of thought to begin with.

Ultimately, I see...

Re: Poll: Buddy Rich

You don't care about the musicality side of the equation? Really? Without it, all the technical facility in the world counts for nothing.

I can't believe you're attempting to have a serious...

Re: Ludwig snare defect

Personally, I wouldn't put a seconds thought into that. It's more than likely to be a result of the plating process as Kama has suggested. Given it's location, it's unlikely to ever be seen by...

Be rightly proud old mate. You guys have created fine instruments and I think it's fabulous to receive such glowing recognition.

Keep at it!!
