Re: Why I don't play V-Drums

When I was 18 I played in a Shadows cover band with some old farties (like I am, now).

Didn't half move my drumming forward.

Shameless attempt to sponge money...

Please, PLEASE, let me apologise in advance, if this post is something that is strictly against forum or website rules, etiquette, whatever.

Basically the band I'm in, MLC, had an idea a few weeks...

It's not even their best...doesn't even come close.
So...enjoy the ride. They are the best prog rock band ever, by an absolute country mile, IMHO.

Re: Does "popular" equal "influential"?

You mean Time's 'Man of the Year' for 1938...

Are we talking about the same Adolf Hitler here ??

Time's a US magazine ?

Hitler was the 1930's equivalent of a global rock phenomonen. He was...

Re: The most "influential" rock albums

With the utmost of respect, if you believe the Smiths weren't influential, I have to say you don't know the slightest thing about the history of modern British music.

And it all ends with Led...

Re: The most "influential" rock albums

The best thing, period, about music is how subjective it is...

It's my favourite album ever and in my opinion the best album written in the history of music...it's just got everything.

I don't...

Our band do a four hour rehearsal once a week and our gigs are 40 mins to an hour long.

There is only one person who comes off that stage/out of...

Re: Met a guy who really likes his E kit

Very well argues and put.
I used my E kit the first time we gigged out...the only reason why I then purchased an A kit is because the E kit just didn't look right on stage backing up a four piece...

Re: Met a guy who really likes his E kit

I can pick a drum setting on my E Drums and THEN change all the micro-settings on it also...I can tune it up, down, change the sustain, change the attack....the lot.
