After messing with the idea and rigging up a little holder out of out clamps, i have concluded that this doesn't work. I can get the trigger to pick up the movement of the cajon and create a sound...

Thanks guys it doesn't really bother me to much as it was just sitting around cluttering up the place and as it is totally unbranded was pretty worthless maybe i'll make something else out of it...
