Re: Yamaha Club Custom (2001) with a history

Good luck with the kit, I had the same kit, color and sizes. Great drums. Here is a picture of mine, minus a tom from a cruise we did a couple of years ago. Pink shirts?? I know, not flattering :-)

Re: How do you feel the day after a gig?

At 60 I'm pretty tired, usually have a hard time falling to sleep if it's a late gig. Great exercise though, muscles a bit sore sometimes.

Picked up a Dixson bass drum lift to replace my Gibraltar bass drum lift. Seems to work good so far and no screwing into the hoop.

Re: Ah screw it! I'm cheating...

I know the fill and I do practice it in my drum room when I have a chance. I tend to push it too much, not clean enough, I am also using just the 4 piece kit so I need to make some minor adjustments....

Re: Ah screw it! I'm cheating...

Funny thing I played it my way last Saturday night and a drummer was in the audience and he called me on the fill. He knew I changed it but complimented how I played it so that made me feel good.

Re: Taye StudioMaple

Have you had a chance to look at them? Take a peak over at eBay and see what people are selling them for. I hear they are very nice drums and that price seems fair not great to me.
