Re: Emeril Lagasse
There isn't much about it on the web but I read on the food network site that he sometimes plays along with the house band on his show.
I found a really short video: ...

Re: Dave King
Personally I love how he uses the rim clicks to bring another dynamic into his playing, especially on this song.

He uses every piece of the kit to its...

Re: this is going to sound dumb BUT!
How would you dent or tear your resonant heads unless you are playing on them or you drop them or something? Some drummers use 2 ply batters as resonants if they are looking for a more muffled...

Re: singing drummer, mic woes...
Then you should definitely go for the Beta 58. It will cost you about $150-160 USD and it's definitely a great live vocal mic and in my experience it picks up better than the SM58 when you are close...

Re: singing drummer, mic woes...
Well, the mic that you have in the link is a drum mic and not even a high quality one. That's not intended for vocal use and it doesn't have an internal pop filter.
An SM58 would serve you a...

Re: Dave King
This deserves a bump. I found a little clip of Dave playing the Flim cover. It's probably the best performance of the song I've seen from him so far. Amazing to say the least. He even uses one of...

Re: Chris Pennie
Sadly, Chris Pennie has officially left Dillinger, or at least they make it seem that way. Gil Sharone (http://www.drummerworld.com/drummers/Gil_Sharone.html) is taking over for at least the...

Re: gretsch moving to china? ???
I believe Dingbat's correct actually. I'm pretty sure that the Renown series and every line below it is manufactured in Taiwan and have been for awhile, and I've read that the New Classics are as...

Re: All black stave shell
I wouldn't call ply wood horse crap. Stave shells are great, so is plywood. It's all about preference and application. A lot of people prefer the sound of drums constructed with plies. I love the...

Re: New RMV drums
Well, I like the sound of Coated G1s on my kit, so you could try those or some Coated Ambassadors. The coating should cut down on the ring better than the stock clears but not as much as the 2-ply...

Re: New RMV drums
I have a set of RMVs (see my signature) and they are very easy to tune. Dingbat can confirm that as well. I got the whole kit sounding fantastic in about 20-30 minutes, of course, I use it as a 4...
