When bleed is inolved use gating (reagate).
Cymbals need a high pass filter.
Kick generally some compression and eq.
Snare you add reverb to push it back a bit and blend it in.

The kick is easy...

Same opinion here and the snare is definatly the weakest link.
I replaced mine immediatly with an SLP studio maple and totally love it. The stock snare does sound pretty nice tuned high though...

Yups, it's getting extremely sad out there these days.

plenty of drums to find, not even that hard.
And there's a few facebook groups aswell recently that sold complete kits with stands & cymbals well withing your pricerange (tama hyperdrive)

For rehearsals i'm lucky enough to have 4 mics in the room so i put a sm57 in front of the guitar cab & i got guitar + vocals.

it's more like covering up the mistake by repeating it. It makes it a lot less noticable to about 95% of the audience.
