Drummer Apps for the iPhone?

Hey everyone, I know this is a popular topic, having seen one or two of these threads in the past. Unfortunately my efforts of google searches have left me questioning which app is truly worth...

Re: Are studios necessary?

The potential for recording/mixing in ones basement is certainly present in this day and age; I've heard and participated in many 'basement' recordings with a fairly successful result.

The fact is...

My Steal of The Week

So as I was doing my daily kijiji/craigslist trolling, I came across an add for a Stewart Snare Drum with Nomad Case for $50. Obviously, I emailed him right away hoping he still had it (posting was...

Removing Mold on Interior of Snare Drum

Ended up getting a package deal on hardware and a snare today. Didn't pay much attention to the drum as I was getting a great deal all around. When I got home I noticed some mold on the interior of...

Need Some Advice

Last January I ended up moving from an Apartment above a Law Firm (could play drums at certain times) to a Condo (no way in hell to play acoustic drums). To help with moving expenses I ended up...

Re: Noise Complaints

Not 100% sure on the law on Ireland, but I can't imagine they have a 24/7 noise law in affect... I'm basing this opinion on what I know I can do here in Canada.

If I were you, I'd go over and tell...

Re: A PayPal question

As far as I know he can edit the invoice's shipping, I'm not so sure about the actual price on said drums. What's his trader rating? If its high he's probably trustworthy..

Back when I had my...

Re: Making money off idiots on Craigslist

I personally troll kijiji/craigslist for probably about a solid hour every single day, have for about the past year or so.

In that time I've learned the street value for most things, watched and...

Re: Miss Them So Much

That's awful. At least I got to say goodbye to them, I could never imagine someone stealing drums, who would do such a thing.

I too use a picture of my Drums for my MSN Display Picture, it sure...

Miss Them So Much

Well three weeks ago I had to sell my Drums for both financial reasons and playability. I'll be moving in with my uncle at the end of the month and I would have been unable to take them (more than...

Favorite Configuration(s)?

Okay, well I think everyone has a personal opinion on what a good looking drum kit is/isn't.

For me, I personally HATE the look of standard 5 piece kits, no matter how they're set up (2 up 1 down,...

Re: Sonor or Tama?

My first kit ever was a Tama Rockstar in 12/13/16/22/14. I traded that for an Electric kit but ended up disliking the electric kit so much I sold it.

I was going to go back to a Tama, but found a...

Re: Shipping to Canada

Welcome to the sad reality of one of the few negatives to living in Canada.

Doesn't matter what you buy, or from where (unless it's from Canada of course) you'll end up paying almost as much for...

Seems like there's already been multiple posts about different techniques you can try, so my input on the topic at hand would be practice! I remember when I first started using the double kick I was...

Re: Things others drummers do that annoy you?

Totally agree with Kg, I absolutely hate when people spend more time doing tricks with their sticks than making sweet fills, or work on that perfect timing. You wanna show you can spin your stick,...

Re: Craviotto Worth The Money?

My goodness, I'm disgusted with some of the comments in this thread! 'Maybe if they were only $3000' 'You may want to upgrade at some point, don't invest this much'.

You guys have FAR too much...

Re: Anyone in a heavier band and not use double bass?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with using a single kick opossed to a double kick! I know many people who can go extremely fast with just one foot and can keep up with a heavier beat with no problem...
