harryconway - i got the set for 200, the additional 16x16 floor tom i can get for possibly 30... it looks like he came down a bit. so thats 230 or 250 total in the whole set. yeah, hasn't broken...

I can't find too much specs on them, but as far as i can tell, rockstars are low-end Tama, Basswood/Philippine Mahogany. Theres a 6pc "misty chrome" set for 450 on craigslist that has a Yamaha...

nope, its both now that i took the dampener out. like the ring was there when the dampener was still inside. it comes from the dampening function of the dampener, lol. but the buzz was controlled...

well the dampener doesnt just dampen, it provides pressure. now that its broken, i taped a dryer sheet to the top and managed to get the snare liveable, but now the buzz is terrible and its not...

well apparently it goes deeper than that this time :). the dampener/presser thing inside the snare broke. the curved piece of hardened steel snapped for some reason, and was hanging down. at first...
