Re: Bryan Adams: I Wanted to Be a Drummer

Re: I've got the "looper" blues

I've worked with loops and sequencers going way back, but I can't imagine working with a looper in this situation.

I think I'd end up throwing it out a window. Without some sort of click or...

1) Black
2) Black
3) Red
4) Black

with a nod to white if it has no yellowing.

Re: Cover Band Drummists - How accurate are you?

Also, the other players involved is a criteria.

IF they're all playing exactly like the record, then yeah.

If they're just using the song as a jumping off point for a 10 minute jam, then...

Re: Quality of new Chinese Yamahas?

I realize this is an older post, but it's kind of funny, given the original Stage Customs were made in Indonesia.

Re: Beatbox: friend or foe?

I've owned a drum machine since 1989.

It's a great practice tool.

Re: Rant: Who's in charge at Gibraltar??

Re: How do you feel about buying used records?

Pre-file sharing, ipods and such:

No problem with used CDs. When the seller sells the CD, that person gives up there use of the CD. The buyer is simply buying the rights to listen to the music...

The issue is someone you've never met, nor asked to meet, is going to send you a flash drive and expects you to put it into your computer.

It's the digital equivalent of someone mailing you a...

Re: What is your opinion of this Billy Cobham review?

The one time I saw Cobham, in 1992, I had a similar experience.

Despite being a in a small intimate jazz club, Cobham's drums were tuned for, and played like, he was performing at a loud rock...

Granted, there are...
