Re: Elvin Jones

Sun Ship isn't their last album. Actually, the Quartet's "'First' Meditations" is their last album. Before Trane recorded the album "Meditations" he did it with the quartet, which to me is a more...

Re: tony royster on bozzio's kit

Re: The "Groovallegiance" Sessions...

I don't have one but have tried out the 21" special K dry ride and liked it very much. great stick definition and a nice controlled "roar" underneath. but then I tried the one next to it and hated...

Re: Matched grip in jazz

Thank you. That's a large part of my "children would grab the sticks in a matched grip" argument. If it's so good for your left hand, then do it on the right too.

Re: The "Groovallegiance" Sessions...

Re: THE "BIG" JAZZ THREAD

I mostly listen to rock and its various forms but when I dip into the jazz it has to have some punk element in it like Jim Black (great example!). I hear lots of college kids playing jazz around here...

Re: Tre' Cool

I never understood the animosity towards Tre. Ever since that music video of them in the psych-ward, I've been a fan. He seems like a fun guy to hang with. what's the big deal?
