Re: The "abstract" thread

Re: Ringo Starr... Good or bad?

I know a lot of people that can play drums... 4/4 hi hat, bass on 1 and 3 and sneak in the snare on 2 and 4. My wife can do that. I don't know a lot of people that can play really well, artistic,...

Re: Okay, Who LOOKS The Coolest?

With no tricks necessary, I am always mesmerized by anything Dave Abbruzzese with Pearl Jam. Very cool.

Re: Your thoughts on gear progression starting from beginner level

Glad you're getting the kit. I started on a pad and went to snare. I took lessons for about a year and my teacher insisted I not get a kit "until I was ready". I didn't want to be in a marching band,...

I sold my drums to pay for my last semester of college then went into the Marine Corps. 10 years later, I received a "bonus" check from my first corporate job. My wife looked at me and said "Keep...

Re: Settle an argument please

Now that's funny.

I guess I'm stuck on the idea that you don't hit the snare at least once before starting the first song. No John Bonham Tribute Triplets before you dive in?

Re: Do other drummers do this?

Nerd alert:
You have 3 types of memory: sensory memory that lasts for a few seconds (the glow you see when you close your eyes after looking at a bright light but quickly fades)...working memory...

Re: New drum kit - what to get?

Tama Superstar Hyper drive will get you close...off the shelf, the 5 piece kit won't get you the 14 and the 6 piece won't get you the 20...you could go for the 5 and get the add on. Colors aren't...

Re: Opinions on Tama x Sonor X Mapex Intermediate kits
