Re: Please help me find this kit (Tama Lars Ulrich Signature)

Color me crazy, but I like that kit. I also like a lot of Lars' drum tracks and the accent placement he utilizes

Re: groove vs chops?

There is no correct answer to how one should play any instrument, really. There are only approaches, results, portability of said results and circumstances that present themselves based on the...

Re: Getting madder by the day

Don't sweat it...maintain composure and deal with them professionally. It will work out.

I've ordered some full kits from Amazon and also buy all my heads, sticks, etc etc....and it has been...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 failing

You may already know what I'm going to say, but I'm just trying to help so I will go over a few things...

1. Did you check their website for new or latest drivers, patches, etc?

Re: What do you think about Casey Cooper (COOP3RDRUMM3R)

Yes, you gave your thoughts, which were correct in my opinion and you certainly have the playing credentials to say as much as you wish, objectively....and if there is more you should say it, if you...

Re: What do you think about Casey Cooper (COOP3RDRUMM3R)

Every person that posts performance videos here has one objective....a not so thinly veiled call for attention. In that regard, they should get the attention in the form of objective commentary...

Re: Anyone else get discouraged selling on Craigslist because of all the flakes and low-ballers?

I like the carry concealed...but still would never again let them go inside your home. You or your wife could get hurt or you could shoot someone, and with today's "Save the criminal" legal system...

Re: Can A Mediocre Cheese Be Used To Attract A Female Drummer?

No apology needed for me (or my wife)...We don't derive our sense of worth from where we shop. We go where the price tells us to go for the stuff we need. Especially cheese!

What really bummed me...

Re: Can A Mediocre Cheese Be Used To Attract A Female Drummer?

I fancy a trip to WalMart...my wife and I go all the time. I like to eat at the McDonalds in the WalMart at Orange Mall. I also like to buy american cheese there. I love a good american cheese. I'm...

Re: Anyone else get discouraged selling on Craigslist because of all the flakes and low-ballers?

In fairness to you, I would not say dickering for $20-$30 off the sellers price makes you a low baller. Especially off $250. If you were reasonable and a good dude, which you probably are, most guys...

Re: Incredibly beautiful Japanese Aria drum kit find!

Yes, I see it. It appears to have a grain perpendicular to the edge on the top ply there and a horizontal grain under it....it appears to be splintering on the edge like a common sheet of rough grade...

Re: Anyone else get discouraged selling on Craigslist because off all the flakes and low-ballers?

I've never purchased from CL but I have sold, cash only...in the several times I have sold, I have them meet me where I work during lunch time; public place, lots of people coming and going and I...

Re: Does Tom Angle inform the level of mediocrity of a drummer prior to ever seeing the drummer play

Re: Is it considered anal to spend tons of time working out what drum to use for certain parts?

I think gear should not get in the way...or be an impediment to having fun or hopefully playing well.At an open mic, rehearsal, etc...it's simply not that important to have everything "just so".

Re: Can a mediocre running gag be a good drum forum discussion topic?

Re: Does Tom Angle inform the level of mediocrity of a drummer prior to ever seeing the drummer play

Years ago...and I'm referencing the video of Max Roach....I think it was more common for drums to be set up like that and probably had/has some validity from a playing approach. It was also more...

If you walk in to a club or show and see the drum kit angular configuration....prior to the start of the show or ever seeing or hearing the drummer....are you able to predict the level of mediocrity...

Re: Can a Mediocre Female Drummer Make a Good Cheese Hostess, Social Worker and Spouse?

As drummer of any reasonable skill, even mediocre, she would know gear and would be able to pick out wonderful birthday and christmas gifts for me :-)

As a social worker, she...
