Picking a Fight

Today I saw a post that made my brow furrow and my brain to go "Wait, what?".

I was going to respond with something a little annoyed, but I looked at what I was going to say and decided against it. I hate it when I get impulsive like that.

Has anyone here ever been really close to picking a fight, looked at the post, and decided against it?

All the time. Somethings just aren't worth it anymore, at least for me.

Most of my replies border on trollish responses. It's not that I intend to pick a fight, but I like to have a little fun and hopefully get a couple chuckles. I've seen it taken personally a few times and that sucks.

Sometimes, sure, usually when someone's being holier-than-thou. I detest smug sanctimony. I feel very self-righteous in my dislike of sanctimony ...

I get frustrated with Holy Grail talk of technique at times but I don't feel I have the right to argue the toss because I'm a chop-free zone. However, I keep thinking that technically Joe Cocker, BB King and Janis Joplin weren't great singers and a lot of guitarists could run rings around BB KIng, David Gilmour and Paul Kossoff ...

Lol, all the time but I've trained myself to smile benignly and look for positivity in almost every post. I do blow my fuse once in a blue moon, but rarely on the internet.

Not so much here but other forums...yes. Most people here get along and the troll problem here isn't near as bad as other forums. Unless someone is directly trying to be an ass to me i'll just let it go. I've got better things to do than sit and argue with someone over a post or something stupid that was posted.

For all i know people here may think i'm a troll. That's ok though, doesn't bother me. lol

Haha, loved your original post in the thread which was presumably when you were trying not to explode with anger?
