Kirk Covington

Just wondering if theres any reason why there's no thread here about Kirk Covington of Tribal Tech. He's an astounding drummer.

Great drummer indeed. I was gonna post a thread for him but you beat me to it!

Great solo from Kirk (and all around great playing):

...and a keyboard player who plays cheesy love songs on ship cruises! ; )

Yes, he is a fabulous player, with a very theatrical style of playing too for which he is notorious.
Gergo Borlai does an 'impression' of his playing to perfection here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OcK1IhHs2M

lol - how cruel!

He ranks with other flamboyant players like Dennis Chambers and Dave Weckl IMO. Amazing how perfectly his grooves flow, given all that tension in his neck ... but the jerky head moves look cool :)
